It has been almost a month since my last post. I have thought about posting several times, but just didn't seem to get the time to sit down and do it. I guess maybe that proves that I am not a true "blogger". Oh, well! :) I'm going to due my best to catch up on the crazy last several weeks. Bullet points will make it easier since I have really missed a lot!
- March 23
- Evan and I were accepted into AWAA's Ethiopia program!!!! Since we submitted out application on March 14th I checked my e.mail constantly anxiously waiting for a response, even though they said it would take 10 business days for processing. On that Tuesday I checked my e.mail at 4:59 and still had nothing form Ameria World. I dejectiedly put my phone away... (can't you imagine how sad I was!!) But then at 5:00 my phone rang, just a number on the caller ID. It was Teresa congratulating us on our acceptance into America World's Ethiopia Program!!! There were a lot of emotions going on inside. ..excitement, relief, gratitude, nervousness, all at the same time, which obviously manifested itself in some tears. :) I called Evan to share the news and then we both called our families.
